The Bible says it’s wrong, but you are NOT doomed to hell. God is merciful and will forgive someone no-matter what they’ve done.

No! The Bible does not say it is a sin! In fact, when the Bible was written, homosexuality did not even exist as we know it. There was no word for it, so there has been a mistranslation in the Bible. Additionally, the God I know doesn’t discriminate. God is the creator of all things…. gay and straight

Jehovah burned two cities that were known for homosexual and bisexual activity– Sodom and Gomorah. The story goes that Lot had angels come to visit, and the married men of the city wanted to “know” the visitors, and they didn’t want to just talk! God wanted to burn the cities, but Lot bargained that if he could find just one “righteous man”, God would not burn the cities… Lot could find none but himself, so God told him to take his family and leave.
Now, the ONLY archaelogical evidence that either of these cities existed at all is shipping records found in other cities…
If that is how God views gay men, are homosexual women any different?
I agree with what was said in another answer- God does love us and is willing to forgive, but He is the author of happiness, and knows how to best obtain it. That’s what his commandments are for… Repentance and change are always an option!
The problem is not that homosexuality is different, it is that homosexuality is not God’s recomended method of finding happiness. The only reason that same-sex couples are looked down on by many churches is exactly that… God said, “That’s not the way to do it,” and they are in the business of spreading His word, all of it.
