I was in rehab with this girl and she had a boyfriend that she had been dating for three years.She told me that she had been with another girl sexually once but she was very drunk when it happened.Things between her and I progressed very quickly and we soon began to like eachother.Her and I talked about being together and she often joked around about me turning her into a lesbian.We became best friends and spent all of our time with eachother there.We would always flirt and cuddle and have long talks about everything.We were falling in love everyday.She was very confused about it and she broke up with her boyfriend.The next eivening her and I had sex and it was amazing.She ended up getting kicked out for using and went to a juvenile facility and I went home the next day.The day she left she told me she loved me and that she was going to miss me very much.We have been writing to eachother and she is now back with her boyfriend.What should I do?

You have to let her follow her heart and decide for herself what is right for her. It sounds like you are both pretty young (since you said you were in Juvey), and it’s normal for her to be confused at that age. Just try and be a good friend to her while she figures it all out. Do you have any hobbies to occupy yourself with so you don’t go crazy waiting? Try to find fun things to do that don’t involve drugs or drinking. Also, maybe writing down your feelings in a journal or in poetry would help?

It seems to me that she is going through a period of self-evaluation and discovery. She may be a lesbian, straight, or even bi-sexual. The point is she is trying to find out what she wants. You should still be there for her and support her in whatever decision she makes. If she wants to be with her boyfriend then she will be. If you do love this woman and the feelings are truly mutual then she will soon find herself and come to you as her support. I know it is complicated and very difficult but the best course of action would be to remain by her side in whatever decision she makes. Who knows, her night with you may have even been a fling to explore beyond her own sexual boundaries. Let the situation run it’s course and if she is still there waiting for you after all of this is over then you know you belong together.
And try to work out her drug situation. That is a whole lot of stress in a relationship you don’t need.
