Being gay is not a sin it’s all about being happy. God wants everyone to be happy wether it’s with the same sex or the opposite sex. If you want to get technical, for the people who are quoting scriptures out of the bible, what is the bible other than a man made book to try to keep the people who read it compliant to what is written in it. Who to say that it is even translated correctly. For those who say homosexuals are not going to heaven, who’s to say you are. The bible also say do not judge or you to will be judged.

In the Bible, it states that any sexual act performed for any reason other than procreation (intentional pregnancy) is considered fornication and is a sin in the eyes of God. Since homosexual acts can never lead to pregnancy, they are by default a sin. Therefore, being gay or lesbian is sinful. At least by Biblical standards. Personally, I don’t care, so long as it’s kept private.

Leviticus 18:22 ‘Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman, that is detestable.’
Also Romans 1, talks about women lusting after women, and men lusting after men. Verse 27 calls it ‘indecent acts’.
I don’t believe it is a sin to gay or lesbian. The sin is having sex with one from your own gender. One could have gay tendencies, and if one never acted upon it, would not be sinning.

As a minister I can assure you just because you are gay this not what will keep you out of heaven. No where in the bible does it ever imply that because you are gay you are a sinner. Now however it does teach that if you practice sin ,that is what will send you to hell. It is the practice of homosexuality that is sinful. the same applys to a whole lot of straight folks to. Adultry ,fornication ,lying etc.

You are right believers are not to judge those out side the church . If you are not a child of God the those in the Church who judge you are wrong .For that is Gods place only. Now if you are a member of the church then those in the church can and must judge you ; read the following verse

1st of all, you’re right that no one should judge.
Leviticus 18: 22 is pretty clear, the way I understand it, (and the way I understand it is that it is wrong for men to be with men as with women). The books written by Paul in The New Testament are blasphemous to The Word of God, in my humble opinion, so I would not take what was twisted into a religion based on many of the things Paul wrote. I go by the laws given to Moses, The Old Testament. Maybe it was mistranslated, or maybe not.
Biologically, it is been the normal rule that more females are born than males, making there be more women than men. Although I am not a lesbian, I do believe it was stated the way it was on purpose. It’s wrong for a man to waste his seed.
Culturally, in earlier times of The Old Testament, men could still have more than one wife. There were also harems, concubines and eunuchs who watched over them and was in charge of them. In a culture such as this, I believe it would be normal and possibly acceptable that the eunuch (which is another word for hermophrodite) help influence the women to know what would please the king or whomever had the harem. In the second chapter of the book of Esther, it references a 12-month preparation that was prescribed for the women before they had their chance to meet with the king that included purification with oils and application of cosmetics. Women needed to have interest in sensations and pleasing their man no matter how polygamous and no matter how little of his time was spent on her. I believe that God stated this law in Leviticus very succinctly, as an allowance for women in a world where they outnumber men. I mean, really…
There have also been a few books I have read mentioning in different times and countries the predominance and secrecy of the lesbianism that has gone on in convents among nuns. In that part of things, I am not sure it is right as priests and nuns are supposed to be chaste, but overall I don’t believe God stated in any of the laws he handed down to Moses, anything about women being with women.
Some people say God is a chauvinistic God. I don’t believe that. The disciple Paul was a better example of a chauvinist. Eve brought on a woman’s curse, it’s true. But God didn’t want woman to be diminished. He wants us to shine. We should be the crown of glory to a husband. It is written that none of us can be omnipotent until we get to heaven. That is when we can know everything. Until then we really have little information, but I believe God had his reasons for giving the laws to Moses in exactly the wording that was given. A man being with another man as he should be with a woman, that s abominable and disgusting and there should be no argument against it. It’s unatural.
