yes i think you are correct. alot of people see 2 girls together and they say “oh that’s beautiful” but 2 guys together are “disgusting” or “not men” for some reason? I think as long as the girls are girlly and not doms, then everybody is ok with it. I think also it has to do with the fact that two guys phisically penetrate each other during sex and 2 girls is just alot of lickin and rubbing, so the fact that they penetrate each other makes people uneasy i think.

Yeah probably true. Big homophobes probably have lesbian porn in their colection. In our society men are denegrated by assinging female or less than masculine traights. Women can wear suits or boxer shorts and its seen as sexy. (not as true for men) Flambouyany men seem threatening to some straight guys. Like we’re going to make them gay, or come on to them, or recruit their children. But lesbians usually fir into their 3way fantasy world. Some lesbians are beautiful don’t get me wrong, but quite a number don’t look like the pornos. Quite a few are the butch stereotype, flannel wearing, doc martin wearing, crew cut and solid built. I beleive they that are accepting a woman being gay more from fantasy or Rosie, Ellen and Melissa Etherage than the high school female gym teacher. The west I would assume is Far more accepting of gays than the Middle East, Asia, or Africa.

I am a lesbian living in Canada.
It is true, that most ppl dont mind gay women as much as they mind gay men. i think it is because ppl’s minds automatically go to ‘the bedroom’ and that is why they get grossed out by gay men- cuz all they think about is where one of the gay men puts his hoo-hoo to the other…
so basically- i think it is still prejudice

Yes I really do think so. Men think two girls together are awesome and really a turn on and seeing two guys…well they arent happy. But it is kinda a man’s world still. But I dont mind either way. Matter of fact I am happy. I think some countries are different. Canada allows same sex marriage. But there are still gonna be ppl that dont accept anything but their version of what the world should be. And UNFORTUNATLY I dont see that changing for a long time.

Yes because we live in a male dominated society and men are more threatened by gay men than women. Different countries have different customs so it depends on the country. European countries are less critical than middle eastern for example.

YEP–total double standard. I think also there is a certain immature or weird peno-phobia (fear of the penis) that keeps all penises out of R movies, keeps them from being shown except in porn, like a penis is unacceptable for some reason. Therefore two women rubbing boobies or licking you know what is not offensive because two women cannot naturally have a penetrative act. For some reaon people are hung up on penile penetration, like it is dirty or something. Since women lack the equipment to penetrate anyone naturally, it is accepted at the subconscious level.
