Ok so no homophobes plz, this is a serious question. The donor and I have tried for almost a year and as before I stated he drinks mt dew and smokes. Other ppl that I mentioned about, keep your comments too yourself plz thanks

We might need a little more information to answer this question. I seriously doubt that the fact that the donor drinks Mountain Dew or smokes has any bearing on the fact that you are so far unable to conceive. What is the method by which you are trying to impregnate yourself? How do you know the donor?

Have you tracked when you are ovulating? There are over the counter ovulation trackers. I would try that because maybe you are not doing it at the right time for getting preggers. Also, The Mt. Dew and smoking most likely has no bearing on this, however, I would suggest the donor stop smoking while trying to create a child. Good Luck!

not to sound stupid but are you trying to get pregnant by actually sperm donation or are you trying the old fashioned way??? If your doing the first way -you may have to consider trying it the other way – since it is the most natural way to get pregnant it should work- if your already doing the natural way – then I would ask myself how well do I know this guy and is he lying about not being sterile just so he can have sex- believe it or not this does happen out there- ( sterile guys volunteering to help make a baby for a lesbian couple who cant afford insemination -just so they can have sex ) but hopefully this is not the case- if you are doing insemination which I think you are – I would go to the doctor and both of you get checked to see if your both fertile- It may turn out that you just need to choose another donnor -

Good on you guys for trying! Have you heard of the rhythm method that Catholics use? you know, when they use the woman’s cycle/vaginal mucus to determine when to have or not to have sex (depending if they are trying for a baby or trying not to)
Maybe you need to follow your cycle and check your mucus to make sure you are fertile. When the mucus is thicker and sticky, you can stretch it between your thumb and first finger its that stretchy, well this is how it needs to be.
The other factor is…. wait for it… are you excited when you are inseminating? IE: during your regular sexual activity your secretions are stimulated and perhaps this factor is missing. The lubrication the secretion provides is important.
Have you both had fertility checks? sperm count?, endocrine blood tests? to see that the hormone levels are OK?

ok, well seriously, maybe you should try another donor, the donor smoking can harm the baby too, and i wouldnt chance having a asthmatic baby or worse. and too, maybe one of you arent able to conceive a baby. i would get both of you checked out. i dont know how you are trying to do this, but are you trying artificial insemination (gotta use spell check for that haha)
