  1. Hi, the only state where a same-sex couple can be married and is called “marriage” is Massachusetts. But you should check on if they will marry out of state same-sex couples -that might be changing. In Vermont you can be granted a Domestic Partnership that is recognized by the state of Vermont. This partnership is not recognized by other states. Also if you are married in Massachusetts and live in another state, that state won’t recognize your marriage. Most states have laws on the books or in their constitution prohibiting same-sex marriage and the recognition of same-sex couples married in other states. You can also be married in Canada! But again, doesn’t transfer the rights to the US. These are the only options right now for same-sex couples seeking legal recognition of their relationship.

SORRY, BUT IN MY OPINION THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED AT ALL.
MARRIAGE IS A SACRED UNION BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN. I AM NOT AGAINST GAYS OR BI’S. MY WIFE AND I BEFORE WE WERE MARRIED BOTH HAD SAME SEX EXPERIENCES AND WE HAVE EVEN HAD 3SOM ES BEFORE WE WERE MARRIED. BUT MARRIAGE IS FOR A MAN & A WOMAN ONLY.

GOOD LUCK IN LIFE, AND I DO ADMIRE YOR COMMITMENT!!
