    You have to be a legal resident of a state that performs Gay/Lesbian weddings. Even if you are a legal resident and you move back to Indiana, Indiana will not recognize it as an actual binding marriage, only as a civil union. So unless you want to move to Massachusetts forever, I’d get a civil union.
