Because with one of them being the female figuire, the other turns into the male. Because they are attracted to women, as are men. They are even (some) jealous of men’s penuses, because that is great pleasure to a woman, which they want to do, but they can’t. And ofcourse, it’s the same with men. Men are jealous from women’s vaginas, for the same reason. And of their breasts and their small figuires and curves and beauty and voices.

That’s the stereotype most people think. Actually it’s not always like that.
But i think when 2 people are a couple, there is a tendency that one is more dominant, more protective. It just happens naturally. This tendency might seem to look/act like a guy’s attitude, but not necessarily.

Because heterosexuals cannot imagine what gay sex is like and so to understand it, they put homosexual sex in the context of heterosexual sex. Lesbians don’t act like men… they act like lesbians. Gay men don’t act like women… they act like gay men. Saying that a lesbian acts like a man during sex is simply a metaphor for straight people to try to understand it.

erasure has it right on. I have never been in bed with a gay woman who acted like a man, and I’ve had sex with more women then most people have fingers and toes. Lesbians and bisexual women act like lesbians and bisexual women in bed, its really not that complicated. If a gay woman really wants to be a man, then she’s not just a gay woman, she’s a transexual, which is a whole ‘nother thing.
As far as looks, in the gay community, there is a lot more diversity and flexability of dress and appearance. Straight people are so locked into their straight appearance norms… we feel bad for you. Straight dress is ridgedly designed to illicit the sexual attention of the opposite sex, so if you don’t want that, who gives a flying crap what you wear? Wear a men’s shirt with a chiffon skirt. Wear a halter top with men’s dress pants and a backwards hat. Wear jeans and a sports team tee with high heels and chandiler earrings. It is more about the individual person and what they like, it has nothing to do with wanting to be a man because I like men’s ties. They’re just fun to wear. It’s not that complicated people.
Straight people read so much into every little thing, stop over analyzing and have a little fun. Lesbians don’t want to be men and they don’t act like men. They don’t dress like men, the dress like their lesbian or bisexual selves and that’s all their is to it.
I swear if straight people expanded half the energy on science as they do on trying to overanalyze the behavior of gay people and come up with bizarre unhinged theories, we would have a cure for cancer by now.

However the best answer i hope is to be natural as it is. When lesbian ve together one end up as a man ; when it comes to gays he ends up in a femine role. Better be there and be together as it is

That isn’t always the case…Everyone is different, and sometimes they just happen to fall into society’s preconceived idea of what male/female gender is supposed to act like…
I live in an area that the straight women look as ‘manly’ as their husbands…so it isn’t just gay women that look like and act like men…
Also from my POV just b/c a lesbian has some masculine features and is with a more feminine woman, doesn’t mean she wants to be a man…

It just depends on the situation. I am a lesbian and both me and my girlfriend are femme. Not every lesbian couple has one person that is femme and one is butch. Some lesbians feel like they are ‘a man trapped in a womans’ body’ so they act and dress very similar to men.
