How do you get a job if your gay and in a small town?

I am 16, openly gay(everyone knows), and live in a small town. I live in Arkansas, and here there is no law barring discrimination against gays in the work force, so around here companies can refuse to hire me because I am gay. I have tried every place I can think of, even desperate places like grociery stores, sonic, and every other fast food restaraunt. I have friends who work at these places, and the end up telling me that I wasnt hired because I was gay. At Sonic even, the manager won’t hire a male if he’s gay, but he will hire lesbians. Can someone tell me what I can do to get a job even though this is a problem?
ANY JOB at all. Just anything, any kind of money in my pocket would be nice. Or something to get work experiance.

Why does everyone have such a problem with Gay people?

We are nice, ethical, tax paying, hard working, law abiding, red blooded Americans, all of those that I know anyway. Why the discrimination? Wasn’t this country founded on the very concept “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

Plain old bigotry is rearing its ugly head again. Why can’t our country realize that the other two times this issue came up we were better off having granted full rights to our citizens. No one questions today whether or not women should be able to vote or blacks to eat in whatever restaurant they choose. Why then can a Gay man not defend his country and a Lesbian couple not get married? How is Gay monogomy an assault on straight marriage?

Please do not reference religion in your response as the authors of the Constitution thought that was the most important thing to point out in the Bill of Rights.

my friend says she wont be friends with any lesbian, what should i tell her to make her understand…?

how bad that is. i told her that that is the same thing as not being friends with someone because they are black. she was just like OHH I LOVE BLACKS! i asked her what she would do if i was one, i told her to answer seriously and she just steered away from the topic and changed the subject. she later tells me that she hates mexicans, she hates lesbians, she loves gays and she loves blacks. what kind of discrimination is this? how can i get it through to her how bad it is to think that way?
